Air travel with Unbreakable® Umbrella
Can long umbrellas, such as Unbreakable® Walking-Stick Umbrellas model U-111 or model U-115, be brought into an airplane’s cabin?
The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) no longer allows passengers to bring long umbrellas, such as walking-stick umbrellas, into an airplane’s cabin. Long umbrellas have to travel in checked luggage. But Unbreakable® Walking-Stick Umbrellas will not fit into a standard large luggage piece, of total dimensions no greater than 62 linear inches (length + width + depth), as required by most airlines. However, Unbreakable® Walking-Stick Umbrellas will fit in a ski bag or a snowboard bag, which most airlines allow as checked baggage, with no oversize and overweight fees if the bag weighs no more than 50 pounds (approximately 23 kg).

Will Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella (Collapsible umbrella) clear USA TSA screening in a carry-on-bag?
Short umbrellas are allowed if they fit into the permitted size of a carry-on bag. However, while Unbreakable® Telescopic Umbrella Model U-303 is short (10.4 inch long or 264 mm), it feels massive in a hand (it weighs 1 lb 3.2 oz or 545 g), so if handled by strangers, it is more likely to arouse their curiosity than our walking-stick umbrellas or discontinued telescopic model U-212s. Even though theoretically you may take this telescopic umbrella on an airplane, TSA agents may feel otherwise. Our experience shows that to avoid a confiscation or a simple theft at a TSA security checkpoint, our telescopic umbrellas should be packed in a carry-on luggage, rather than carried in hand or otherwise flaunted.
